I see that your really good at textures.
Im still quite new to creating textures, can you give me any pointers or techniques?

I was just sorta getting used to using photos for realistic faces at this stage. I can see so many problems with these textures lol.
I think the best piece of advice that i could possibly give is research what it is that your texturing. Metal ? then go find some pictures of drums, rusted gates, old armours - skin ? then find pictures of old people, animals, insects etc - even the simplest picture can give you the inspiration to create exactly what your trying to achieve. And really give some thought to the object your going to texture - where is it situated ? in a cold dark place ? add some moss / mould ? some scratches on the surfaces or edges that would most likely come into contact with other objects when it moves around - perhaps a dirty handprint ?
The brain Boggles!
Never ever just grab a photo and slap it on you model. LOL!! Ive done this before many times when i didnt know any better.

I created a very rough human face texture the other day in a few minute. Looks like a pile of s**t but only because I had to quickly texture it for Uni. Haha.
