I've got a bit of artists block, I'm sitting here not really knowing what I should start to build.
I want a full character project to build in 3d, ready for a next generation engine. A culmination of all of my skills.

Drizzt Do'Urden ? <--- My favourite fantasy character of all time.
Cloud Strife ? <--- Final Fantasy VII Hero.
Lulu <--- Final Fantasy X character.

Maybe I should go with some kind of monster theme ?

Dragon ?
Something Undead, like a Lich King ?
Cliche Orc / Ogre ?
Chocobo ?

Who or what else is cool ?! help me out here people, Inspire me with links and concepts, or even words!
If any of you have awesome pics, or concepts show me them, maybe I'll pick one and build it, of course crediting whomever the concept belongs too.

Leave a comment!!! I BEG OF YOU!!!!

Im Back from a business trip / holiday to Taipei in Taiwan.

As the Lead Character artist at Fuzzyeyes Studios in Brisbane, I travelled with the Lead Animator, Art Director, Lead Environment and Tech Director for 2 main purposes.

1: To meet with another Game Development Studio
2: To visit 3 Universities to enlighten Students about the game industry and what our roles entail within a game development project.

It was so awesome to visit Taipei - i could easily live there for a few years. The chaotic nature of the place had a somewhat organic harmony to it all. So chaotic, but it worked in a peacful way. Its something that has to be seen to be believed.

I had the opportunity to go to the top of the tallest building in the world ( currently ) Taipei 101. Which when we looked down upon the city, gave us the sensation that we were looking from an airplane!! I also went OUTSIDE - some 90 Stories up in the air, where the wind was probably about 80kmh and -3 Degrees.

In a spontaneous act of stupidity, I thought, theres a chance ill never be this high outside again! so I decided to remove my shirt and experience the brisk air, I also convinced Chris, the lead Environment artist to do the same. We looked absolutely retarded and practically naked, from the waist up, next to the security gaurd who resembled an eskimo - covered from head to toe.

I took so many photos, most of them of the team goofing around ( as above ) acting like real tourists.

We visited temples, delved completely into the local foods and drinks - completely avoided Western food until the very last night of our trip when we decided to go to Pizza Hut LOL!

We also before the flight back to Australia, had an 80 minute massage in a Taiwanese Health Spa, we had our muscles beaten to a pulp, by very small, but strong taiwanese men.

We were stretched, pulled and twisted like i had never been before. It was extremely painful, and several times i thought i was about to man-scream, but god it felt so damn good afterwards - I cannot describe the impact this massage had on my body. I have never before felt so relaxed and so flexible.

All round, i spent 7 days there and each one was absolutely fantastic. I hope i can go back there one day.

I will start uploading the pictures as soon as I am able...

Sorry about the lack of updates, ill be back on it soon!

Ciao for noW
